According to Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa hold concrete interest in Gio Lo Celso, and the player would be keen on the move.
The Tottenham midfielder is currently on loan at Villarreal, and will wait to assess his situation depending on the new Spurs manager.
Lo Celso has made 25 appearances for Villarreal this season, scoring once and providing three assists.
The Argentine played under Emery at Villareal for a brief amount of time, before Emery made the move to the West Midlands. Emery deployed Lo Celso as a right midfielder, left midfielder and an attacking midfielder in this brief spell.
The 27 year-old is currently valued at €18.00m according to Transfermarkt, much less than the €32m fee Spurs paid for Lo Celso from Real Betis.
Aston Villa face Liverpool on Saturday, May 20th, in their penultimate game of the season, as they try to qualify for European football for the first time since 2010.
