According to The Athletic, Arsenal have no intention of selling Emile Smith Rowe this summer. The attacker remains a valued member of Mikel Arteta’s plans.
The 22-year-old underwent groin surgery earlier this season and as such, his appearances have been reduced to just 12 in the Premier League.
The Gunners hope he will be a key figure for England at the upcoming Under-21 European Championship before returning to fitness and form ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Arsenal challenged for the title for much of the season, however, Arteta’s side ultimately fell short and finished in second place, qualifying for the Champions League for the first time since 2016.
As a result of Champions League football next term, Arsenal will be keen to create squad depth, something they lacked in comparison to the eventual title winners Manchester City.
The summer transfer window opens on Wednesday June, 14 and with the greater financial reward of finishing inside the top four, the Gunners will no doubt be in the market for multiple additions.
