The Athletic have reported that Arsenal are close to an agreement with Chelsea for Kai Havertz, for a fee in the region of £65m. Talks are ongoing to finalise the structure of the deal.
Personal terms are already agreed, and when a deal is struck between the two clubs a medical will be scheduled.
The 24-year-old has made 47 appearances for the Blues this season in all competitions, scoring nine goals, and providing five assists. Transfermarkt value Havertz at around €55.00m, so Chelsea will be getting above this valuation for Havertz from Arsenal.
Chelsea are looking to make a lot of sales this summer, due to the bloated squad and massive transfer outlay in the previous two windows. Havertz, along with Mateo Kovacic, Edouard Mendy, Hakim Ziyech and Kalidou Koulibaly, are all on the brink of being finalised.
This transfer is expected to be wrapped up in the coming days, with the Blues set to enter the market after these sales for new additions.
