Fabrizio Romano has reported that a deal has been agreed for Alex Iwobi between Fulham and Everton. A fee of around £22m + adds ons included. His medical will be in London later today, according to Romano.
The 27-year-old made 41 appearances in all competitions for Everton in the 2022/23 campaign, scoring two goals and providing nine assists. Iwobi tallied a total of 3,561 minutes across those 41 appearances last season.
The Nigerian played the majority of his games for Everton last season in central midfield, playing 13 times as a central midfielder, and 10 times as an attacking midfielder. However to start this season for the Toffee’s, Iwobi has played both games as a left winger.
Iwobi would become Fulham’s sixth signing of the summer, joining Calvin Bassey, Timothy Castagne, Raúl Jiménez, Steven Benda and Adama Traoré. This would take their spend to around €70.00m this summer according to Transfermarkt.
