Alex Iwobi to Fulham deal agreed

Fabrizio Romano has reported that a deal has been agreed for Alex Iwobi between Fulham and Everton. A fee of around £22m + adds ons included. His medical will be in London later today, according to Romano.

The 27-year-old made 41 appearances in all competitions for Everton in the 2022/23 campaign, scoring two goals and providing nine assists. Iwobi tallied a total of 3,561 minutes across those 41 appearances last season.

The Nigerian played the majority of his games for Everton last season in central midfield, playing 13 times as a central midfielder, and 10 times as an attacking midfielder. However to start this season for the Toffee’s, Iwobi has played both games as a left winger.

Iwobi would become Fulham’s sixth signing of the summer, joining Calvin Bassey, Timothy Castagne, Raúl Jiménez, Steven Benda and Adama Traoré. This would take their spend to around 70.00m this summer according to Transfermarkt.
